CART is getting ready for a very special weekend at Tottington Manor in West Sussex.

Tottington Manor was the Sussex headquarters of the Auxiliary Units. During World War II, Tottington played a role in the training of the Sussex Auxiliary Units. One large secret bunker exists under the Manor, with an escape route into the fields.  The tunnel network and bunker remain unchanged since the War ended, complete with plumbing and Bakelite light-switches.

Local historian and author Stewart Angell will be leading a series of talks on the Auxiliary Units and showing a film of the inside of the tunnels.  The event also sees Capt. Ian Benson return to the Manor after more than 70 years.

Mr. Benson is flying over from Ireland just for the event and he ran the activities at Tottington for part of the War as well as training Auxiliers all over the UK.

The event is ticket only and sold out within 3 days of the tickets going on sale.
