Auxiliary Units on ‘The Secrets of Underground Britain – WARTIME SECRETS’

We have recently discovered an excellent rare DVD made by Reader’s Digest called ‘The Secrets of Underground Britain – WARTIME SECRETS’.

Part of this DVD features information on the British Resistance and an interview with Auxilier Ivan Potter and Aux expert and author John Warwicker.

We have been able to upload the main Aux element to YouTube and it can be seen below or directly here.

The DVD was produced in 2008 and as far as we can tell is no longer available to buy new. We found a copy on Amazon and it appears they sometimes come up on eBay. We do not believe it has been broadcast terrestrially.

Framlingham Auxiliary Unit in Suffolk Added

Today we added Suffolk’s Framlingham Auxiliary Unit to our website.

There was not much for our Suffolk researcher to see but they found the site of the OB.

Another Great Day At The Auxiliary Museum, Suffolk

Yesterday some CART members spent the day at the Museum of the British Resistance Organisation located at Parham Airfield in Suffolk.

It was a great day and the members of BROM made us feel very welcome and supplied a great lunch.

A few of us spent the day studying paperwork research while the others got chatting to the on site experts including weapons expert Richard Ashley.

One of the highlights of the day for CART members was seeing the knuckle duster that belonged to Walter Thompson, Churchill’s Bodyguard. (See image left)

We also saw a Sten Gun used by Churchill. Another must see is their mock underground Operational base.
