We are pleased to announce that Phil Evans has been appointed as our County Information Officer (CIO) for Kent and Andy Gwynne is our new CIO for Yorkshire.

Both Andy and Phil have already been CART members for sometime and have contributed in many ways to our research. We now have 13 CIO’s researching for us around the UK.

We wish them all the best with their forthcoming work and we will be supporting them in anyway we can. Their research will be published on our website in due course.

Today we launched our CART Hub.

Our members and researchers have many articles collected over the years and until now there has never been no easy way to share them with others.

CART has teamed up with 4Shared and set up a hosting platform for a these documents.

CART members are now able to access these files and also add their own to a variety of folders predefined by CART.

4Shared also have a FREE app which can be downloaded for most of the main smart phones so you can even access the data on the go!

To access this growing archive please sign into the members only website or join CART here.

Today is CART’s second birthday and I am pleased to say we are still going strong with more supporters and info being added daily.

In the last two years CART has

  • Created a network of national researchers all over the UK.
  • Added hundreds of pages of new and uncovered info on the Aux Units to our website.
  • Advised on a feature film about British Resistance.
  • Produced our own Auxiliary Ale.
  • Been able to confirm to over 30 relatives that their loved ones were Aux Unit members.
  • Organised two large events celebrating the Aux Units as well as other trips for members.
  • Produced two DVD’s.
  • Instigated and set up the ‘Coleshill Uncovered‘ project.
  • Set up the ‘Coleshill Reborn‘ project and also investigated the tunnel system under Coleshill House.
  • Secured the rights to print the first autobiography of an Auxilier, ‘Gone to Ground

and much more….

Thank you to all our researchers and members for your support over the last to years. You are what makes this organisation and we thank you for this.

If you would like to show your support please hit the responses tab at the top of this blog and leave us a comment.

CART researcher Ian Edwards has spent the last six months working on the Coleshill House Reborn project.

His ultimate goal is to deliver a photo realistic video walk through of Coleshill House which sadly burnt down in 1952.

Ian has already designed full CAD drawings of the house and outbuildings and is now working on images and video of the inside of the house.

You can see some of his work here

Keep your eyes on our site and this news page for my info.
