Good Afternoon All,

I have been past some very reliable information that there is an OB at Upton Pyne in Devon. The source tells me he saw men in home guard uniform digging a large hole the site of a shelter or OB in the woods or the estate.

It’s very close to Exeter in Devon and is located within the grounds of the village’s large manor house.

My source also tells me that men in Home Guard uniform also stayed in stable blocks on site a lot so I am wondering if this was a regional training HQ for the Devon Auxiliaries.

Does anyone know more about this? Are there any records at Parham?

The house and grounds now belong to an Earl but if we have reasonable back up I will aim to make contact with him to see if we can go and have a look.
